June 2020: Marley
Marley is a 6-year old Black Mouth Cur, and is at the second golf course of her career. Rescued at 4 months old, she found herself at home on the course immediately. The breed is used primarily for hunting and herding, and is known to need a lot of exercise, all of which are traits of a good golf course dog. Marley does a great job chasing geese and deer off the course, enjoys running around in the morning, riding in the cart in the afternoon, and is always up for a game of fetch.
Mike Tollner is in his 3rd year as golf course superintendent at the Donald Ross designed Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y. A Class A member of the GCSAA, Mike also sits on the board of directors of the Central NY GCSA. When away from the course, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Missy. They share an interest in the arts, camping, and kayaking, among other things. The newlywed couple were married earlier this year.
