2020 Cover: George

George, a 9-month-old Golden retriever, enjoys spending his days at Hot Springs Country Club. He’s a “Champion” cart rider, “Super Star” squirrel chaser, a “Phelps” like pond swimmer, and the best ball getter Golden “Deceiver” of all time. He is a wiggler, a heart stealer, a treat hound, and a great lover of all members. George is a very happy guy, his personality is infectious, and we have enjoyed watching him grow. The only problem for George is being a little polar bear in the middle of a hot Arkansas summer. He has already earned the nickname, “Shade”. No matter where he is on the course, that boy will find it!

Trey Rutledge has been the superintendent at Hot Springs Country Club, a 36-hole-facility located in beautiful Hot Springs, Arkansas, for 26 years. A graduate of Mississippi State University, he has been a member of the GCSAA and Arkansas Chapter since 1993. When not on the course, Trey and George like to hang out with his older brothers, 1-year-old Jackson and 10-year-old Bentley, both Golden retrievers.
